That a few members of the police force are standing in the way of the eviction drives by Dhaka South City Corporation, according to Mayor Sayeed Khokon, to free footpaths of illegal occupation in Gulshan area, seems a measure of how things have gone out of hand.
মেয়র সাইদ খোকনের তথ্য মতে ,গুলশান এলাকার অবৈধভাবে দখলকৃত ফুটপথ মুক্ত করার লক্ষ্যে ঢাকা দক্ষিণ সিটি কর্পোরেশন কর্তৃক উচ্ছেদ অভিযানে পুলিশ বাহিনীর কিছু সদস্য বাঁধা হয়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে যেটি কোন ভালো উদ্যোগ কিভাবে ব্যর্থতায় পর্যবসিত হয় তাকে প্রতিফলিত করে।

At the same time it is well to remember that eviction drives, no matter how well-intentioned, will not be productive without making arrangements for the rehabilitation of the hawkers.
