In the first four days of the police’s special drive against militants, 12 thousand persons were arrested. This is not a very comforting piece of news.
প্রথমত, এই বিপুলসংখ্যক ব্যক্তি যদি সত্যি সত্যি জঙ্গি বা সন্ত্রাসী হয়ে থাকে তাহলে তো উদ্বিগ্ন হওয়ার যথেষ্ট কারণ আছে।

এসব প্রশ্নের উত্তর না মিললে বিশেষ অভিযান থেকে কোনো ফল পাওয়া যাবে না।
The special drive will yield no results unless these questions are answered.
বরং তা নিরীহ ও নিরপরাধ মানুষকে হয়রানি ও গ্রেপ্তার-বাণিজ্যের উপলক্ষ হিসেবেই বিবেচিত হবে।
This will just be seen as a harassment of innocent people, a chance to make money from the arrests.
